Understanding Your Referral Statuses

Last modified: June 15, 2025

In your affiliate dashboard, specifically in the section where you view the list of referrals you’ve generated (which we call “Referrals”), each one will have an associated “Status.”

This status indicates the current stage of the particular commission, from its generation until it’s paid (or rejected). Understanding what each status means helps you know exactly what’s happening with your earnings.

Referral Statuses at Babelix:

These are the statuses you will see and what they mean, following the process we have defined:

  • Pending:
    • When you see it: When users subscribe through your link, they typically enter payment details to start the 3-day free trial. If the user does not cancel before those 3 days end, the system automatically processes the first charge. Immediately after the first successful charge, the commission is generated and appears in your dashboard with a “Pending” status. (This explains why you don’t see anything during the 3-day trial.)
    • What it means: Once visible, this status indicates that the commission has been registered, but it is still within the 4-day waiting period during which the user can request a refund. The commission is not yet final.
  • Approved:
    • When you see it: The status changes from “Pending” to “Approved” once the 4-day refund period has passed and the user has not requested a refund.
    • What it means: Good news! This means the commission has been approved and confirmed. It is now in the queue, ready for inclusion in the next payment cycle (on the 1st or 16th of the month), provided your total accumulated balance of “Approved” commissions meets the $100 USD minimum threshold (see 6.3).
  • Paid:
    • When you see it: After the system processes a payout that includes this commission.
    • What it means: This signifies that the commission corresponding to this referral was already paid to you on a previous date. You can see the payment details in the “Payouts” section.
  • Rejected:
    • When you see it: If a commission does not pass the validation period or violates any rules.
    • What it means: This indicates the commission has been voided and will not be paid. The most common reasons for this status at Babelix would be:
      • The user requested a refund within the 4-day post-trial period.
      • The system detected fraudulent activity related to the referral.
      • There was another cancellation or violation of the program’s terms and conditions.
